An Exciting New Development!
BC Regional Integrated Arts Network Questionnaire
Hello kickstART Festival Colleagues and Contacts,
The Society for Disability Arts and Culture has been working to coordinate a strategic planning process for an informal group of disability arts creators and presenters, called the BC Regional Integrated Arts Network (BRIAN).
Our goal is to create a collective strategic plan – a useful, practical action plan that could be shared with various funding bodies as we near the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics – and their associated cultural events. As part of this process, we have hired a consultant to survey groups throughout the province in order to gain a comprehensive picture of the disability/integrated arts and culture movement in BC.
If you can speak on behalf of an organization in BC, including unregistered groups or informal collectives, that:
– then we are asking you to fill out a questionnaire. If you know of other groups which meet the criteria above, we’re asking you to either forward the URL for this page, or send the downloadable "BRIANquestFINAL.rtf" document, to them.
Read the cover letter and questionnaire from our consultant Richard Marcuse. Or download the letter and questionnaire (.rtf format).
More detailed information about this very exciting project is contained in Richard’s letter; please take a few minutes to read it.
Thanks for your assistance with this effort to advance the integrated arts movement in BC!
Yours truly,
Geoff McMurchy
