Stewart Brinton
Stewart Brinton is a writer, musician, and a bipolar manic depressive with environmental sensitivities, who describes music as being his medicine. He plays the tenor sax, harmonica, penny whistle, percussion as well as vocals. For many years Stewart was also involved with improvisational jazz and is credited for having played various venues at four Vancouver Jazz Festivals. He is presently involved in making African music, a combination of collaborating with conga and djembe players- and making his own melodies. He is also currently a member of the Eye of Newt Collective, a group that plays music and sound for silent films. For kickstART2, Stewart features his own melodies in roaming outdoor performances.
