A community based choir that has evolved from the work of the Powell River Association for Community Living, it is directed and facilitated by John Tyler, who has worked with the group since 1989, but was offered his current position in 1997. Boasting 50 – 55 members, the choir is a wonderful mix of mental health clients and community members. Their enthusiasm grew to produce a CD and DVD. John Tyler attended the first kickstART! and was impressed, looking forward to participating this time.
Spirit of Community Choir is an ensemble of diverse musical talents that blend together to create high energy, feel good music with the emphasis being on joy. Their interactive performance will uplift you and take you to a place of peace, love and joy.
