The gang from Theatre Terrific presents their unique version of: The Most Pleasant and Delectable Tale of Cupid and Psyche. Forbidden privilege, impossible tasks and helpful beasts included. Since 1985 Theatre Terrific Society, Western Canada's oldest theatre company for people with disabilities, has blazed trails in supporting the gifts and talents of people with unique abilities. The troupe uses physical, vocal and visual exercises to explore, explain and create. Each class creates an original ensemble work for performance. Last summer's show Beside Yourself at the Vancouver Fringe Festival was graced with special appearances by former Premier Mike Harcourt, Denis Simpson, Jim Byrnes, City Councilor Sam Sullivan and Double Exposure.
Theatre Terrific Society has been working since 1985 to gain public acceptance for people with disabilities by enabling them to participate in Vancouver’s vibrant theatrical community. By offering classes and mounting amateur and professional productions, Theatre Terrific Society acts as a unique catalyst for growth and change.
