Miriam Friedberg was born in Israel. She has had Scoliosis since age 12. In 1985 she came to Seattle, Washington for her first surgery to alleviate some of her curvature by insertion of Harrington Rods.
Since coming to Canada in 1989, she has had two more surgeries because of further disc disintegration, causing her spine to be almost totally fused. For the last few years, she has been increasingly in more pain due to her curvature and Fibromyalgia.
Miriam has exhibited her paintings at Richmond Art Centre Gallery, White Rock & Surrey Art Society, Federation of Canadian Artists Gallery, and Seymour Art Gallery.
