Tanya Steinhausen

Tanya Steinhausen was born December 11, 1975 in Vancouver, BC. Tanya has been an artist at the GHS Art Studio since 1996. She explores bright colours with mixed media in the creation of her self-portrait. Tanya painted a night sky behind herself as a good background. When asked how she feels about making art Tanya replied, “Wonderful! I’m good at art, it brightens my day when people recognize my accomplishments!”

Tanya works mainly in watercolour, pencil crayons, felt markers and acrylics. She has shown her work regularly in Victoria, BC. At the Garth Homer Centre Gallery, the Martin Batchelor Gallery, the Moss Street Paint-in, Langham Court Theatre and also in International group exhibitions in California, Scotland, and Japan. Her art was featured in the Thrifty Foods, Year 2000 Community Calendar, and is in many collections in Canada and around the world.
